Colleen Langley Bio:
Colleen
Langley has been performing comedy and ventriloquism since she was
eight years old. When Colleen began talking she mimicked a variety
of weird little voices. She would talk without moving her lips and
give voices to inanimate objects and imaginary "friends".
She not only talked to herself - she talked back! This urged
her somewhat "concerned" mother to have to decide whether
to get Colleen puppets or therapy. Colleen got puppets. The therapy
came many years later.
An Army brat traveling as she grew up, Colleen performed in regional television throughout the country. She also did television commercials and appeared on CBS television. She entertained for schools, parties, fairs, hospitals, conventions, USO shows and in variety shows.
During college Colleen had several majors due to being a multiple personality. She simply couldn't make up her minds. She created a club act with comedy and singing, and performed in clubs all over the U.S. and parts of Europe. She entertained for thousands of people of every age on cruise ships such as the "Queen Elizabeth II". Colleen cruised throughout the world. She has frequently appeared in Las Vegas, countless comedy and variety clubs and at conventions and corporate events.
Colleen has written comedy material for all ages and always adds spontaneous improv and interactions with her audience. She has also written special material presenting the healing effects of laughter and humor.
For several years Colleen lived in Los Angeles and Miami - at the same time! It's true. Ventriloquists DO have split personalities!
